What this tool does not do
- It reorganises and stamps pages. It cannot change text or images that are already on a page.
- Password-protected PDFs must be decrypted before they can be opened here.
- Form fields and digital signatures are not preserved as editable objects in every case — check the exported file if it matters.
About this tool
This is a page-level PDF editor. It handles the things people actually need after a scan: a page came out sideways, two pages are in the wrong order, page 7 is a duplicate of page 3, and the whole document needs a DRAFT watermark and page numbers before it goes out. You see every page as a thumbnail, drag the order around with the arrow buttons, and export a clean new PDF. Your file is never uploaded — the PDF is parsed and rewritten by pdf-lib inside the browser, and thumbnails are rendered by pdf.js from the same in-memory bytes.
How to use it
- 1Drop a PDF. Every page is rendered as a thumbnail so you can see exactly what you are rearranging.
- 2Use the buttons under each page to rotate, move, duplicate, insert a blank page or delete it. The output page count updates as you go.
- 3Optionally type a watermark and switch on page numbers, then export. The result downloads as a new PDF — your original file is untouched.
Frequently asked questions
Does it edit the text inside my PDF?
No. This tool works at the page level: it rearranges, rotates and removes whole pages, and stamps new text (watermark, page numbers) on top. Changing existing body text, replacing images, filling in form fields or redacting content are all different problems that need a different kind of editor. Saying this plainly matters — a tool that claims to "edit PDFs" but only reorders pages wastes the time of everyone who arrives expecting to fix a typo.
Why does it refuse to open my PDF?
The file is almost certainly encrypted (password-protected). The library used here reads and rewrites the PDF structure, which requires decryption — and quietly forcing it would produce a file that some readers cannot open, which is worse than refusing. Open the file in your PDF reader with the password and save a decrypted copy first, then bring that here.
Do the watermark and page numbers come out sideways on rotated pages?
No, and that took care to get right. A PDF page can carry a rotation flag that only affects how it is displayed, while the content coordinate system stays as it was. Naively drawing text would make it rotate along with the page. This tool lays the stamp out in the rotated (visual) position and then maps it back into the page's own coordinates, counter-rotating the text itself, so it reads normally whichever way the page is turned.
