Good to know
- PDF export goes through your browser's print dialog, which supports every language and gives better typography than a generated file would.
- Your entries are saved in this browser as you type. Use Save as JSON to move them to another device, and Reset to erase them.
- Watch the page break in the print preview. Shortening a few bullets is usually better than letting a section split.
About this tool
A focused resume builder: your details, a summary, experience with bullet points, education, skills. It renders a clean single-column resume and prints to PDF through your browser. Your entries are saved in this browser as you type, so a refresh does not lose fifteen minutes of work, and you can export the whole thing as JSON to carry it to another device. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account — the form is the whole tool.
How to use it
- 1Fill in your contact details and summary. Add one entry per job, and put each achievement on its own line in the bullet box.
- 2Reorder or remove entries until the most relevant experience is at the top. The preview updates immediately.
- 3Press Print / Save as PDF. In the print dialog choose Save as PDF as the destination — the preview shows exactly what the paper will look like.
Frequently asked questions
Why does saving to PDF open the print dialog instead of downloading a file?
Because it produces a better result, especially outside English. Generating a PDF directly means embedding a font, and the standard PDF fonts only cover Latin-1 — Chinese, Japanese and Korean text would come out as blank boxes. Supporting them properly means embedding a multi-megabyte font and writing your own line-breaking and pagination. Your browser's own print engine already has full font and layout support, so it makes a better PDF than a hand-rolled one would. The dialog is one extra click for a document you will send to employers.
Is my resume stored anywhere?
In this browser's local storage, on your own machine, so that refreshing the page does not wipe your work. It is not sent to any server — this tool has no server side. The obvious consequence is that it stays on this device and in this browser: use the Save as JSON button to move it, and use Reset to erase it.
How do I keep it to one page?
Cut bullets, not jobs. Three to five achievement lines for your most recent role and one or two for older ones reads better than a uniform wall of text, and recruiters scan the top third first. In the print dialog the preview shows the page break; if a section splits awkwardly, shorten its bullets until it lands cleanly.
